“SURAKI” COMPANY - HISTORY ØThe company was established in 2001 and is an agro-industrial complex; In 2001 was signed the first financing contract with World Bank, in the value of 180. 000 USD, project title - “Extending the ostrich growing in south area of Romania in view of organization and operating the family farm for ostrich growing”. Ø In 2005 year it was signed the 2 -nd project financed by EU non-reimbursable financing program. The project - “Modernization of the farm for ostrich growing” was finalized in 2006, having the value of 547. 000 EUR, financing source – SAPARD funds ØThe 3 -rd project name “Plant for slaughtering and processing the ostrich meat” was started in 2005, having the finalization term in 2007. It was realized using the SAPARD funds , and its value was more than 4. 000 EUR. ØAt present “SURAKI” SRL has finished the 4 -th project, financed by non-reimbursable program from European Regional Development Fund – ERDF. The project duration was for 2 years (2010 -2012), having its value of 717. 060 EUR and the title “Advanced research for transformation of some wastes (ostrich fat) in the product of high economical value”.
