Superheroes. Who are they?
Comics – popular genre of world art, which is popular among people of different age categories. Comics have lost of genres: fantasy, adventures, detective, thriller and others.
First superhero. The first superhero was created in USA in 1938. It is not a secret that it was legendary Superman. The creators of comics and fans called it a « Golden century of comics» . Then were created more than 400 superheroes, such as Batman, Captain America, Wonder Woman, Spiderman and many others.
Marvel. Company was founded in 1939. Founder: Martin Goodman Key people: Mark Millar, Stan Lee. Most notable works: Fantastic Four, Hulk, Iron Man, Thor, Daredevil, Avengers. Marvel – American company, publisher of comic books. Most of Marvel’s fictional characters operate in a single reality, known as Marvel Universe, with locations that mirror real life cities such as New York, Los Angeles and Chicago.
DC Comics. Company was founded in 1934. Founder: Malcolm Wheeler-Nicholson. Key people: Dan Di. Dio, Jim Lee. Most notable works: Superman, Batman, Wonder Woman, Green Lantern, Flash, Green Arrow, Justice League, Young Justice. The initials «DC» came from the company’s popular series Detective Comics, which featured Batman’s debut and subsequently became part of the company’s name.
