Ohio Training Registration • Training – Is NOT a requirement for ARES membership – Is required for ARES appointments (EC, DEC, SEC, etc) – Is encouraged – Is FREE and relatively easy • Section Training Database (n 8 sx@arrl. net) – Emphasis on ICS-100/200/700/800 – Electronic copies of certificates or FEMA transcript – www. arrl-ohio. org/SEC/training. html • Why? 1. Many trained ARES members – make it known 2. Info needed for Mutual Aid requests

Link – SATERN announcements • Encourage ARES members to join SATERN – Volunteer – no commitment! – SATERN group can get SA facilities free – Qualification to drive Canteen – Possible Tech class at SA – draw from all NE Ohio – ICS 100/200/700/800 classes at SA – Lots of training available for SATERN members – Big indoor facility at Rolling Acres – indoor drill? • Mike Simpkins, KB 8 WWP at February meeting
