Structured Wiring • Structured wiring is a whole house wiring system for communications, entertainment, security and control • Works with the systems already in the home • Anticipates technological advances • Prepares the groundwork for future home technology and smart home enhancements

Structured Wiring • The cables run from individual rooms to the structured media center called distribution panel • The panel is pre-configured to create a custom configuration using modules for: voice, data, audio, video to match the individual requirements • The cables terminate in each room with quality wall-plates and snap-in connectors

The Distribution Panel • Usually located in one of the closets or the attic, has two main purposes: 1. Takes the signal from the service provider services: Telephone, DSL, Cable TV, Cable Modem, Security 2. Distributes those signals to locations throughout the house
