• In London there a lot of sights. Now I will tell you about some of them.
What is London • London is the capital of Great Britain, its political, economic and cultural centre. It is one of the largest cities in the world. Its population is more than 11 000 people. London is situated on the river Thames. The city is very old and beautiful. It was founded more than two thousand years ago. Traditionally London is divided into several parts: the City, the Westminster, the West End and the East End. The City is the oldest part of London, its financial

The Houses of Parliament • The Houses of Parliament is the seat of the British government.

Trafalgar Square. • Trafalgar Square is the most famous of London squares. It is situated in the center of London. The square is famous for Nelson’s Column There are four lions at the bottom of the column. Different cultural festivals take place in the square.
Stonehenge is a prehistoriс monument located in the English country of Wiltshire, about 13 kilometres north of Salisbury. One of the most famous sites in the world.
Regent’s Park • The Regent's Park — one of Royal Parks of London. Located in northern part of the Center of London, partially in Westminster and partially in Camden. • You can visit Regent's Park where you will find London Zoo, a boating lake and an open-air theatre, where in summer you can enjoy Shakespeare's plays.
The London Eye is a giant wheel It is 135 -metre high and turns very slowly. The wheel is situated on the banks of the River Thames in London. It carries 15000 people a day.
The British Museum is a museum of human history and culture in London. Its collections, which number more than seven million objects, are among the largest and most comprehensive in the world and originate from all continents, illustrating and documenting the story of human culture from its beginnings to the present
Madame Tussaud’s museum It is the famous waxworks museum. It was founded in 1830. The museum has the largest collection of wax models in the world. Here you can meet famous people - actors, film stars, pop singers, sportsmen, writers, poets and scientists.
St. James’s Park • St. James’s Park, The oldest park. there are many trees, grass, flowers and water. It has been based in 1531 by king Henry III. It is the home to many wild birds, pelicahs and geese. In summer there are free concerts in the centre of the park.
Green Park
The red two-storied London bus is a unique symbol of Great Britain, its magnificent capital of London.
