SHOCK
Types of shock: Hypovolemic shock Cardiogenic shock Obstructive shock Distributive shock - Septic shock - Anaphylactic shock - Neurogenic shock
Hypovolemic shock Shock, which is based on a significant reduction in fill volume of circulating blood (plasma). This group includes traumatic (including postoperative and burn), bleeding (because of bleeding), hydro (tion is caused intestinal obstruction, acute pancreatitis, diarrhea, etc. ) shock.
Cardiogenic shock This acute left ventricular failure of extreme severity, evolving myocardial infarction. Include: - Arrhythmias - Cardyomyopathy - CHF - Cardiac valve problems
Distributive shock As hypovolaemic shock there is an insufficient intravascular volume of blood. - - - Septic shock(an overwhelming systemic infection resulting in vasodilation leading to hypotension) Anaphylactic shock(anaphylactic to an allergen) Neurogenic shock(the rarest form of shock)
Obstructive shock In this situation the flow of blood is obstructed which impedes circulation and can results in circulatory arrest. - The severity of shock can be graded 1 -4, based on the physical signs: Grade 1(about 15%) Grade 2(about 15 -30) Grade 3(about 30 -40%) Grade 4(at 40 -50%)
