Edinburgh Castle. The oldest part, St Margaret's Chapel, dates from the 12 th century. The castle houses the Crown Jewels of Scotland the National War Museum of Scotland.
Glamis Castle is the legendary setting for Shakespeare's Macbeth, the childhood home of Queen Elizabeth, The Queen Mother and the birthplace of Princess Margaret.
