The basic science includes organic synthesis, structural c har ac te r i z ati on, advanc e d spe c tr osc opy, tunabl e photophysics, and elucidation of the fundamental coordination chemistry of the corresponding metal complexes. Corrole-based technologies that will be emphasized are catalysis of organic transformation, the delicate control of pro- versus anti-oxidant activity, light driven processes, small molecule activation, and pre-clinical investigations for treating various diseases.
