Cash Allocation Process Schools using LA payroll • Termly cash allocation of non pay budget • April, September and January Advance • Also June advance includes pay/non-pay carried forward from previous year Schools using external payroll • Monthly cash allocation by standing order including both pay and non-pay elements of budget • 3 months notice is required for changing to external payroll , Schools Finance should be informed at the same time as payroll

Funding for 3 and 4 year olds • No change to the Early Years Single Funding Formula (EYSFF) • DSG Early Years Block per pupil funding remains flat – but EY Pupil Premium • Benchmarking exercise conducted

Early Years Pupil Premium (EYPP) • An additional 53 p per hour per eligible child to support quality provision • New registration form on pupil benefits webpage • Please distribute to all parents to complete • School to sort forms and forward those requiring eligibility checking to Pupil Benefits (by half-term if possible) • When notified of outcome, record on SIMS by ticking the Pupil Premium button for eligible pupils
EYPP Funding Process Summer Term • LA to use data from pupil benefits. Funding will be calculated/distributed once initial eligibility checking phase complete. Autumn Term • In discussions around amending the EY Headcount report to capture EYPP eligibility field meaning this will be source of data for funding schools for both EYSFF and EYPP. Spring Term • Spring 2016 census will capture data on EYPP eligibility. This will be the source of data for funding both LA and schools.
