Technical comments on mirroring -I bildmirror. pl by Thomas Severiens (perl) highlights: + simple in using + quite fast - integrity not checked (corrupted file would never been replaced by the correct one)

Technical comments on mirroring -II I have experience running since 1993 ftp. chg. ru (539. 9 GB of public domain ftp software) ftp-server and use: 1) mirror-2. 9 by Lee Mc. Laughlin (perl) + relatively simple + check-out of the date and size - ftp-protocol

Technical comments on mirroring -III 2) rsync-2. 4. 6 by Andrew Tridgell, Paul Mackerras (binary): + check-out of the date and size + check-out of checksum - needs in a special daemon installed at master site

Technical comments on mirroring -IV 3) wget-1. 5. 4 by Hrvoje Nikavsic (binary): + check-out of the date and size + proxy (on the net-path) is not a problem - copy and replace files but never delete ones which deleted on the master site there are more mirror tools but I do not have big exprience with them to discuss. . .
