All students on arrival in Rusia for getting education at the Kabardino-Balkarian State University must come to the Passport and Visa Service (hereinafter PVS) which is in the auditorium 370 (Nalchik, 173, Chernyshevskiy st. , the Main Building, 3 rd floor) to fill in all the necessary documents. A student on arrival in the Russian Federation is obliged to get migration registration at the place of stay. If a student lives in a hostel, heshe is registered by the PVS. Otherwise the student must be registered by the citizen of the Russian Federation who owns the housing where the student can live.

Foreign citizen is obliged to get migration registration each time heshe crosses the border of the Russian Federation!

How to get migration registration

Students living in the hostel • Upon arrival, within 3 days, inform the PVS (370 aud. )of your coming (enroll in the "Journal of departure and arrival accounting of foreign students living in the hostel"); • Bring your documents to be registered and get the Notice of Arrival:

EDUCATION RELATED ISSUES

Training at the university is divided into two semesters: the first semester comes to an end in January/February, the second semester comes to an end in June/July. In the end of each semester students pass examinations and offsets. The students who have received one or two unsatisfactory marks at examinations , can have two more attempts. The student who has received at examinations three unsatisfactory marks, has no attempts to pass exams again. In this case he should apply to the dean's office. Otherwise he will be expelled from University and go home. A student can be expelled for missing lessons without valid reason as well.

MEDICAL ISSUES

Each student according to the law of the Russian Federation should have a medical insurance policy (it is paid for by student himself). In case of disease it is necessary to go to a polyclinic at once (it is necessary to get a special medical note of illness).

PAYMENT OF THE CONTRACT

The students under the contract, SHOULD pay for their training prior to the beginning of an educational semester (till February, 7 th). Receipts on payment should be presented to room 385 on the day of payment. Otherwise the student will be expelled from the University and must go home because of breaking conditions of the contract.

BASIC RULES of RESIDING in KBSU HOSTEL

1. A student takes one place in the block and cannot change it or pass in other block or a room without permission of administration 2. A student receives the Pass in a hostel which should be shown at the entrance to hostel. It is forbidden to transfer the Pass to other person 3. On settling a student should show the warrant received in a hostel to the dean's office foreign citizens.

4. Students should observe cleanliness and order in the block and in places of the general using at hostel, switch off light, electro devices and water when leaving a room and to keep the stock given out to them and subjects in proper order 5. If the student has put a material damage or has spoiled something in a hostel, he is obliged to compensate this damage 6. The student should keep quiet in a hostel and not disturb his neighbors who are studying or resting.

7. It is forbidden to keep visitors in a hostel for the night 8. It is forbidden to smoke in a hostel (except for specially allocated and designated places) 9. Drinking alcohol and being in a state of intoxication in a hostel is forbidden 10. Term of residing in a hostel comes to an end according to the Contract on residing at a hostel. On its termination the student is obliged either to prolong the Contract, or to leave a hostel

11. At a departure from a hostel the student should return all received items of use and stock, put a room in proper order, and hand over keys to the manager on duty, sign roundabout list at hostel warden and to hand it over to the dean's office. Only after that student can receive his documents
