Geography
ROME Rome is in the Lazio region of central Italy on the Tiber river
Although the city centre is about 24 kilometres inland from the Tyrrhenian Sea, the city territory extends to the shore, where the south-western district of Ostia is located.
BERLIN Berlin is situated in northeastern Germany, approximately 60 km west of the Polish border, in an area of low-lying marshy woodlands with a mainly flat topography, part of the vast Northern European Plain which stretches all the way from northern France to western Russia.
In Spandau, Berlin's westernmost borough, the Spree empties into the river Havel, which flows from north to south through western Berlin.
SEVASTOPOL The city of Sevastopol is located at southwestern tip the Crimean peninsula known as Heracles peninsula on a coast of the Black Sea.
The coastline of the region is mostly rocky and inhibits series of smaller bays, a great number of which is located within the mentioned Bay of Sevastopol.
Climate
ROME Rome enjoys a Mediterranean climate with mild, humid winters and warm, dry summers.
BERLIN Berlin has a temperate cool oceanic climate or cool continental climate according to the Köppen climate classification system.
SEVASTOPOL Sevastopol enjoys one of the warmest climates in Ukraine, with mild winters and moderate warm summers. Sevastopol has a humid subtropical climate.
Architecture
ROME Rome's architecture over the centuries has greatly developed, especially from the Classical and Imperial Roman styles to modern Fascist architecture.
BERLIN Built in 1969, it is visible throughout most of the central districts of Berlin.
SEVASTOPOL There are many historical buildings in the central and eastern parts of the city and Balaklava, some of which are architectural monuments.
