A 753(18), or ISO 15540 are acceptable in any vessel. – OCMI may accept nonmetallic strainers not meeting these standards provided the systems are: 1) Designed to be a marine strainer such as UL 1193 2) Limited to piping nominal diameter of 3”. 3) Reasonable protected from mechanical damage. 4) Readily acceptable for inspection. 16
