DOCUMENTATION In addition to ensuring that the seafarers they employ hold correct and valid certificates, companies must also ensure, through readily accessible documentation, that they can demonstrate to national maritime administrations and port state control officers that the company is indeed in compliance with its other STCW 1995 OBLIGATIONS.

Port state control telah berusaha menangani masalah tersebut serta menindak tegas apabila terjadi pelanggaran, tetapi yang terjadi adalah catatan waktu jam istirahat tersebut dipalsukan dengan cara meminimalkan waktu kegiatan operasional yang bisa direkayasa. 33
