Geothermal § 272 wells at 300 feet deep that use subsurface temperatures for warming or cooling the water supply. § Heat pumps vs. current natural gas boilers will reduce winter heating costs by about 29%. § Geothermal for removing condenser heat in summer will reduce chiller operating costs by 23%; heat pumps’ operating costs about 57% lower than natural gas. 36 Pg 36
