5: 45 AM January th 12 • 1 suitcase (each student must be able to carry his/her own) • 1 back pack/ carry on • Electronics are OK on the bus-so are snacks. If you are late, we will call! • Mid-morning stop for breakfast at Mc. Donalds • Lunch stop west of Montreal
IMPORTANT DEADLINE!! By December • • th 15 Permission slip/OTC form Travel authorization form SCHOOL ID on lanyard IDENTIFICATION
Accepted forms of ID • Original birth certificate / Certified copy with raised seal • Passport / Passport card • Nexus card • Enhanced license Be sure to send in the original and 1 copy.
Day of Departure • Luggage tags should be attached to suitcase and carry on • Eat breakfast and pack a snack • Arrive at the Middle School front loop by 5: 45 am • Check in with chaperone • Parent drops off medicine with chaperone • Suitcase goes under the bus
Arrive home about 8: 00 PM on Monday January 15 at OPMS front circle. The bus trip is 10 hours!
Tips for packing • Watch the Weather Channel or check the internet for a weather forecast for the days of the trip. • Plan to dress accordingly! Bring on the snow!!
WHAT SHOULD I PACK? • • • Heavy waterproof coat Snow pants (rain pants) Waterproof mittens-2 or 3 pair Thermal underwear-2 Thermal socks-2 or 3 Hat-2 Scarf Ear muffs Umbrella Rain poncho Hair dryer?
WHAT ELSE SHOULD I PACK? • 2 pairs of comfortable boots – for walking, sledding, snowshoeing and dog sledding – not UGGS • shoes/ sneakers for hotel – NO heels One suitcase per traveler! • 4 comfortable outfits plus a couple extra items. – Clothing that can be layered. Corduroys or a fleece lined pant is recommended. NO blue jeans, sweats or hoodies while touring! You may wear them on the bus or in the hotel.
Items for your carry on: Snacks Cards Magazines Water/Gatorade Ipod Camera Money Books Electronics Ipad NO cans/glass bottles. No power drinks, milk products. Drinks must have twist down caps.
Cell Phone Use • Please check your plan for use in Canada. • No phone use on tours! • Absolutely NO photos may be taken in the hotel rooms!
How much money is needed? • US money for 1 breakfast (Friday) and 1 dinner (Monday) (about $20) • Canadian money for 4 lunches (at least $60) • Canadian money for souvenirs. (? ? ? )
WHAT ABOUT FOOD? • Breakfasts & dinners are included. • Dinners are all at sit down restaurants • Encourage your child to be adventurous! • Choice of places for lunch (not included) accompanied by chaperones. • Any vegetarians?
At the hôtel Four (4) to a room. Generally each room has 2 queen beds. Please discuss with your child: 1. Being considerate of others’ sleep 2. Bathroom use (timing issues) 3. Being quiet while in corridors

Safety/Expectations • Have a buddy with you at all times. Never be alone! • 7 students to 1 chaperone • Security in hotel • Hospital is close by • • Wear appropriate attire…. . warm clothes too! Observe school rules Be courteous and appropriate in your behavior Only your roommates are allowed in your room.

The Chateau Frontenac towers over the town
Village des Sports. This is the winter sports park. Enjoy slides, air tubes, carpets and ice skating. How about snow rafting or go karts? We will also have a buffet dinner here.
A little shopping?
We venture up the coast. Yes, it is taller than Niagara Falls!
We will have breakfast at Chez Marie.
We will visit many places including the famous Sainte- Anne-de- Beaupré.
