Conclusion QSEN is a national initiative to improve the quality and safety of US healthcare The current way of educating nurses does not meet the skill set needed for the delivery of healthcare in the 21 st century Nurse educators need to rethink the way student nurses are taught, tested, and certified for nurses to have a place at the table and be in a position to lead
