History of the Pyatigorsk State Pharmaceutical Academy The Academy was founded in, 1941. During the Great Patriotic War. In September of the same year was held recruitment of students for the first year. Education high school students in the pharmaceutical lasted until August 1942, when Pyatigorsk was occupied by Nazi troops.

During the five-month occupation of the remaining teachers and students in every possible way tried to survive and keep the material base of the institution.

Recovery Institute January 11, 1943 Pyatigorsk was released from the German troops, and already 27 January Professor Vavilov was ordered to restore the city Council Institute.

The consequences of war After the Great Patriotic War, the institution was in a difficult financial position. There was no furniture, fixtures and equipment. There was no electric and heating. Students studied mainly on lectures.

Despite this, the institute has directed its efforts on training activities and development of pharmaceutical science.

Тhe development Institute The gradual development of the institute started in 1952. Was expanded laboratory building, equipped with instrumentation for scientific research at the Institute organized a botanical garden with a greenhouse, started training foreign countries.

Thanks to hard work Institute reached great heights. And he became one of the best institutes in Russia.

In our time in the North Caucasus, a new base in the pharmaceutical science and education. Which is a branch of the Leningrad Medical Institute
