Handmade Poppies Pupils in the Salon have made beautiful Poppies for Armistice Day (11 th November). These are priced at only £ 2 each. Pupils will be coming around classes to sell them or you can also buy them at the Salon (next to the Art Department).
U 14 Boys Football A trial will be held to determine the school team to play against TRINITY HIGH SCHOOL (date tbc) in the Paisley and District Cup. Any S 1 and S 2 boy who would like the opportunity to be selected for the school team should attend the after school football this week and next. If you have any questions, ask Mr Duncan.

JINGLE BUS ELVES REQUIRED • Volunteers are needed for the Jingle Bus which this year will be running on 2 nd & 3 rd December • You must be a pupil in S 4/5/6 or a member of school staff to volunteer • There are loads of jobs that you can help with: Jingle Bus, Santa’s Grotto, Arts and Crafts, Sandwich making, tea/coffee making and many more. • This is an amazing opportunity for you to help your local community; the more volunteers we have the better the event. • For further information please contact Beth Wilson (B 6). 'Embrace' West Coast Cinema in Dunoon will hold and exclusive screening of ‘Embrace’, a social impact documentary that explores the issues of body image, on Tuesday 7 th November 2017 at 7. 45 pm. The West Coast Cinema is the only outlet in Scotland to show this culturally vital film at this time. Embrace is told from the point of view of Australian motherof-three Taryn Brumfitt as she travels the world talking to experts, women in the street and well-known personalities about the increasing rate of body image issues that are seen in people of all body types. Senior Pupils wanted: 1 st Cowal Boys Brigade Volunteers are needed to help with the 1 st Cowal Boys Brigade and Girls Association which is on Wednesday evenings at DGS. This is a fantastic opportunity for anyone who wishes to work with children in the future and it will also look great on your CV. Duke of Edinburgh Award Anyone interested in doing their Duke of Edinburgh Award should meet in room E 111 on Tuesday 31 October at 7 pm. The Award is open to anyone who is aged 14 or currently in third year approaching their 14 th birthday. There will be the opportunity to learn more about the Award and what is involved. Any current participants wanting to finish their Award or needing help or advice; together with anyone wishing to undertake their Silver Award/Expedition are also welcome.
Breakfast Club Life Skills Room (next to the new Platform) Opening times: 8. 15 – 8. 40 am This club is open to everyone, does not cost anything and you do not need to stay for the full time. Monday - Thursday there will be cereals, fresh fruit, yoghurts and cereal bars. Friday there will be hot rolls (you must attend on a previous day to order your hot roll).
Star Wars Club will be running every Monday lunchtime in E 112. If you are a Star Wars fan, come along and join in! Bring your lunch with you.
