Support Program for the Translation and Publication of Brazilan Authors Aboard , held by the National Library Foundation / Ministry of Culture. • Exists since 1991, it was reshaped in 2011.
• Grants for new translations and reeditions. • Grants up to 8, 000 USD. • Continuous application process. • Literature, humanities, children’s books.
Results so far: • 583 grants between 1991 and 2013: § 161 from 1991 to 2009; § 422 from 2010 to July 2013; § 72 % in 2010 -2013.

Residency Program for Translators • Residency grants for translators • 2012 -2013: grants to 15 translators, for a period of at least 5 weeks in Brazil • Translators from Argentina, Spain, France, UK, USA, Germany, Italy, Greece • Twelve different authors: Ana Paula Maia, Deonísio da Silva, Edney Silvestre, Érico Veríssimo, Hilda Hilst, José Lins do Rego, Luis Fernando Veríssimo, Machado de Assis, Michel Laub, Nelson Rodrigues, Rubem Fonseca
Support Program for the Publication of Brazilian Authors in the Community of Portuguese-Speaking Countries (CPLP) • Publishers from CPLP member states are eligible for this program (Angola, Cape Verde, Guinea-Bissau, Mozambique, Portugal and São Tomé and Príncipe). • Ten grants awarded in 2012. .
