Escala de aportes propuestas/ Escale of Voluntary Contributions ESTRATEGIA DE SUSTENTABILIDAD CEJA/ SUSTAINABILITY STRATEGY Instar a los Estados Miembros a que consideren realizar contribuciones voluntarias al Centro de Estudios de Justicia de las Américas (CEJA) con el objeto de financiar sus gastos básicos. Que para los efectos previstos en el resolutivo precedente, los Estados Miembros continúen considerando las propuestas que el CEJA presente en cada Reunión de Ministros de Justicia o de Ministros o Procuradores Generales de las Américas (Resoluciones VI REMJA y XXXVI Asamblea General de la OEA). “To encourage Member States to considerer making voluntary contributions to the Justice Studies Center of the Americas (JSCA) in order to finance its basic expenditures. That for the effects mentioned in the preceding resolutions, member states continue to considerer the proposals thet JSCA presents during each Meeting of Ministers of Justice and Ministers or attorneys General of the Américas (REMJA). ”

ESTRATEGIA DE SUSTENTABILIDAD CEJA/ SUSTAINABILITY STRATEGY • Hasta la fecha el financiamiento de CEJA ha estado fundamentalmente concentrado en los aportes que recibe de agencias de cooperación internacional ( principalmente la Agencia de Desarrollo Internacional de Canadá (CIDA), el desarrollo de proyectos y la entrega de servicios en el área de su especialidad • Pese a haber una resolución de la Asamblea General y de la REMJA, no ha sido posible para CEJA, fortalecer la generación de bienes públicos, con cargo a contribuciones permanentes. • Solo Chile lo ha hecho de manera anual. En el pasado otros países como Estados Unidos, México, Brasil, Costa Rica y Jamaica también aportaron. • Most of JSCA´s funding has come from international cooperation agencies, mainly Canadian International Development Agency (CIDA) and the delivery of services. • Nevertheless there are formal resolutions from OAS ( General Assembly and REMJA), in order to support core-cost CEJA´s finantial operation, only Chile has accomplished that mandate. In the past also other countries such as Brasil, Mexico, Costa Rica and Jamaica have given support as well.
