Primary education in Belarus
Education In the Republic of Belarus operates a developed system of secondary education. The modern model of secondary school includes several stages: general primary education (I-IV classes); general basic education (V-IX grades); general secondary education (X-XI classes).
Primary education, children acquire their first knowledge about the world, communication skills and addressing applications. At this point, it is formed and begins to develop the child's personality.
Children start school at age six. The period of training in an elementary school lasts 4 years, from the first to the fourth grades.
The first of September , all schools open their doors to students. On this day sessions in all institutions.
In the first class the first week of the children are studying adaptation course in the classroom. They get used to the teacher, classmates, learning.
In 2002, a ten-system of assessment in educational institutions was introduced in Belarus. In the first and second grade teachers did not give evaluations to children. Сhilldren learn for the sake of knowledge.
In the third and fourth grade children enough knowledge to put them to assess.
In the first year children learn to read, write and count, and then more and more developed.
In elementary school children learn languages, mathematics , literature, art, music, choreography, gymnastics, the subject of man and the world, history.
Elementary school teaches children basic knowledge that will be needed for further learning.
