Creating History and Archives Web Pages 1) Scan text 2) Perform OCR 3) Transfer text to MS Word, correct misspellings, remove incorrect paragraph breaks, etc. 4) Scan photographs 0) Select historic document and determine location on web site 5) Prepare picture (if necessary, rotate, remove “dust”, adjust color levels and contrast, etc. ), save psd document and small jpg 6) Create HTML page using text editor 7) Copy the HTML file to the server 8) Review before publication 9) Create link to this new page from History and Archives web site Editing the HTML file image of the text
