Module Template: Subtitle; Version 1. 0, Reviewed 9/15/11 Institutional Groups • Institutions requiring or encouraging preservation can be grouped as follows: • Federal Agencies: (NOAA, NASA, NSF, DOE, EPA etc. ) typically well developed preservation guidelines and in some cases processes • Host Institutions: (Universities etc. ) are becoming more involved in data preservation and in many cases have preservation strategies in place • Private Industry: generally have developed preservation strategies but typically only house proprietary data
