Legislative Strategies · Address the issue of disturbing schools as a gateway offense in the juvenile justice system through legislation more appropriately defining the behavior (House Bill 3315). • Address the issue of referrals to the family courts for incorrigible behavior through legislation requiring families to document that they pursued counseling before filing the petition (House Bill 3315). • Develop a 180 -day determinate sentencing option for family court judges.
