Proposal Conference Ø I would like to welcome each of you to this Pre-proposal Conference regarding RFP VA 101 -12 -R- 0058, Building 209 Seismic Upgrade and Renovations Ø Immediately following this Preproposal Conference, there will be a site visit. The visit is an open invitation to all prospective contractors, subs, suppliers, and others.
Pre. Proposal Conference Ø Our discussion of each section shown on the agenda will be brief and generally will highlight those areas of importance as you prepare for your offer. Ø I would like to make clear that anything said should not be interpreted as a change to the solicitation/contract documents as posted. If a statement is made that is inconsistent with the solicitation requirements, you should not submit your offer based on the statements. Pre. Proposal Conference Ø Scope: This project consists of the seismic upgrade and renovation of a three-story cast in place concrete building 209 as shown on Construction Documents. The contractor shall provide all labor, materials, supplies, transportation, supervision, quality control, and other logistical support necessary to complete the project on time and on schedule. Contractor shall comply with contract requirements with regards to work and materials. (Approved Surety, Seal) Ø Insurance: Before commencing work under this contract, the contractor shall certify to the contracting officer in writing that the required insurance has been obtained. Ø Builder’s Risk Insurance is “not” required by the VA.

Pre. Proposal Conference Ø Value Engineering: Contractors are encouraged to develop, prepare, and submit VE change proposals voluntarily. Contractor shall share any instant contract saving if VE accepted.
