Targeted Pollutants of Concern • Suspended Solids • Oil/Grease • Metals (Copper, Zinc, Chromium, Cadmium) • Organics • Nitrogen Note: These are consistent between Phase I and Phase II. 6 8
Phase II 9 9
10 Current and Proposed Porous Pavement and Treatment Train Locations 10
Phase II Expansion • • Three additional media filtration units Three additional porous paving test plots (54, 000 sf) • • 11 • • • One additional porous concrete test plot Two additional porous asphalt test plots Geogrid stabilization under 1/2 of each new porous asphalt test plot 26, 000 sf of roof runoff diverted to porous asphalt test beds Enhanced monitoring to evaluate current/expanded BMP effectiveness 11

Porous Paving Treatments • • • 65 Rainfall and Runoff measured during 11 events during the 2005 -2006 wet season. Events ranged from 0. 23 inches to 1. 07 inches during Phase I monitoring. All Three Porous Paving Treatments eliminated 100 percent of the runoff and associated contaminants. 51

MFS Performance (Phase I) • • • Perlite used as Media Initial data based upon only 3 events Effective at further removal of sediment • • • 69 Coarse sediments (>63 µ) to <1. 8 mg/L. Fine sediments (<63 µ) to <14 mg/L Effective at further removal of contaminants strongly associated with particulate contaminants • e. g. Total Lead concentrations reduced 27 -60 percent 55
