What is PMITS? The Patient Movement Items Tracking System (PMITS) is a DHSS mission sensitive system that tracks the biomedical equipment needed to support critical patient life sustainment and monitoring during aeromedical evacuations. PMITS is used by the Army, Air Force, Navy and Marine Corps during peacetime, contingency and wartime operations. Ø The key elements to ensure a successful PMI program include: • Keeping up to date accurate inventory. • Tracking all equipment at all times. • Recycling assets. • Performing equipment maintenance. Why PMITS?
