WEB Leaders invite the 6 th Graders to a powerful Orientation (Cougar Camp). Connections are then supported throughout the year between WEB Leaders and 6 th Graders.

ABC: Arts in Basic Curriculum PHMS was awarded a grant to become an ABC school site. n n n Make the arts an integral part of the basic curriculum and daily classroom instruction. Core Classes Students take 5 core classes – 52 minutes Academic Classes • ELA • Math • Science • Social Studies World Languages (Will choose 1 language for the year) • French • German • Latin • Spanish Partial-Immersion Program • Spanish Class (Core Class) • Passport Class – Offered as an early bird or exploratory class. (Units involving Social Studies, geography, cuisine, history, technology, and culture targeting a Spanish Speaking country. )

Exploratory Classes Students take 2 exploratory classes a semester Required Classes: PE/Health or Dance/Health Semester Classes • Adventure Education • Art • Chorus • Creative Writing • Digital Literacy • Drama • i. Civics • STEM Academy Year-Long Classes • Band • Orchestra v Students who need a support class (i. e. , Rt. I ELA/Math or Resource) will lose an exploratory class.
