The date of November 5, 1079, is considered the birthday of Pinsk Slow Pina that gave its name to the city is a sort of a natural mirror, reflecting the majesty, beauty and uniqueness of Pinsk

On holidays tiny shops and cafes are arranged in the old square… A countless number of multicoloured tents are enticing by their decorations.
All kinds of performances take place on the stage. There are historical and folklore characters, whose images are created by actors, and the performers of famous city groups known far beyond Pinsk – ‘ Polesskie Zori’, ‘Polessye’, ‘Pinskaya Shlyakhta’.

The great stage awaits!
Fyodor Tiron is considered to be a sacred protector of Pinsk. But the former Pinsk temples in honour of St. Fyodor have not survived till our time. However, in 2001 on the Pinsk land a new majestic St. Fyodor Cathedral rose, built up in the best traditions of Russian- Byzantine style.
The most ancient relic – the Roman- Catholic church of Assumption of God’s Mother – is a part of the ensemble of the former Francis monastery. In the town there also many other churches.
September 12, 2001. the Seminary named after St. Thomas Aquinas opened its doors.
Carl Baromej Roman- Catolic Church – relic of architecture of the 17 th century Carl Biromej church became the city concert hall. For about ten years it gathers admirers of chamber music.
In the end of 18 th century, places started to appear in Polessye instead of severe castles. One of them entered the history of the city as the ‘Pinks Wall’ ( i. e. ) stone building or Palace of Boutrimovich.

About ten years ago the youngest townspeople were presented with one more park, where the visitors are met by intricate towers, made of red bricks and logs.
It makes a magnificent background for knight tournaments, which are hold today in the city on special holidays. The Pinsk youth, who appreciates the rich historic heritage of their Motherland, formed two club of knights.
