Rules of the Job? • You must show up on time – MINIMUM 15 minutes before start time. • You must have the proper equipment – pen, cards, whistle, stop watch, flags – extra pen, extra whistle, water • You must wear the proper attire – Yellow ref shirt, black shorts – Referee Socks…. pulled up • For this, you are paid well

House League Pay Scale U 8 to U 14 • U 8: 2 -man system – Single or two man: $12. 50, Adult Ref/Mentor: $20. 00 • U 10: 3 -man, or 2 -man system – Center or 2 -man: $17. 50, U 9/AR: $15. 00, Adult Ref/Mentor: $20. 00 • U 12: 3 -man, or 2 -man system – Center or two man: $25. 00, AR: $20. 00, Adult Ref/Mentor: $25. 00 • U 14: 3 -man system – Center or two man: $30. 00, AR: $25. 00, Adult Ref/Mentor: $32. 50

Travel Pay Scale • Travel AR: Never. . ever do 2 -man!!!!!! – U 8 - U 11: $17. 50 (new referees preferred) – U 12: $25. 00 – U 13 -U 14: $30. 00 (40 minute halves) – U 15 -U 18: $35. 00 (45 minute halves) * $5 bonus for 10 SPRING games, for RE-certifying

House Referee Review • • U 11 thru U 14: Subs ready at the mid-line Taped earrings can be allowed (house only) Be confident, Control the game Whistle when needed, When you whistle. . whistle Loud Positioning, and Pointing Don’t allow dangerous play, make the call Review your rules, know the Laws

NEW Refs • • U 7 thru U 8 reserved for you Call out the team color when you point. Learn to be confident, Who reads the rules? Whistle even when not needed. . they are 7 When you whistle. . whistle Loud Positioning, and Pointing Review your rules, know the Laws Know the 2 -man system

Timesheet • Process your timesheets every two weeks – Where can you find the time sheet? • Get your Park District Employee Number and put it on your timesheet (see your Arbiter Custom Fields) • Remember when your games were, what field you were on, and your position • Send email to Mike Conklin when anything unusual happens. miconk@aol. com

Advancement 1. Less than 1 year: • House league U 8, House league U 10 AR 2. After assessment by a Club Mentor: • U 10/U 12 House League, U 11 Travel AR 3. After assessment by a Club Mentor: • U 14 House League, U 12+ Travel AR 4. After assessment by Referee Director: • U 9+ Celtic Travel soccer center referee ($36 -$62) *note, your USSF referee certification is good anywhere in the state of Illinois. There are tournaments at Schaumburg Olympic Turf.
