HEDIS Overview What is HEDIS? q HEDIS – Healthcare Effectiveness Data and Information Set HEDIS Overview What is HEDIS? q HEDIS – Healthcare Effectiveness Data and Information Set q National Committee for Quality Assurance (NCQA) uses these performance measures for commercial, Medicare, and Medicaid. q HEDIS is the most used set of performance measures in the Managed Care industry, developed and maintained by NCQA. Anthem collaborates with plan physicians and pharmacies to promote the diagnosis, treatment and management of asthma according to the most current asthma clinical practice guidelines set forth by the National Heart, Lung, and Blood Institute (NHLBI).
