Athlete Services: Intl Competition • UKA provides a dedicated and comprehensive games operations service for all IAAF and European Athletics events (age group and senior) • We select and enter Team GB providing full support for our athletes leading up to and during the events • In addition we are offer resource support and advice to HCAF’s in their preparation for Commonwealth Games and to cities in the UK hosting IAAF or European Athletics events

HCAF Services: Strategy & Operations with the HCAF’s to assist • We work closely them in being high performing organisations, working to an agreed UK wide strategy • We provide a number of essential central services on behalf of HCAF’s including – – – – Competition calendar Meeting permits Insurance Rules Officials Coach & Event Development Commonwealth Games Logistics UK wide programmes for schools

HCAF Services: Commercial • UKA plays a strategic role in bringing public and private sector funding into high performance and grassroots sport in Great Britain and Northern Ireland. We benefit from the commercial rights to Team GB and the televised event series or indoor and outdoor Grand Prix events • We have established & valuable partnerships with organisations that wish to benefit from association the sport of athletes in the UK and we channel vital resources to HCAF’s • We work closely with HCAFs to develop funding submissions to Home Country Sports Councils

HCAF Services: Policy • UKA have a pivotal role to play in the development and delivery of policy relating to the sport of athletics across the UK • Our aim is to promote the unique values of athletics as the essential ingredient of all sports, particularly within the education and health sectors • Our aim is to promote key British administrators and policies in a fast changing international sporting environment • UKA must be a vital interface with national government, and must play a key role internationally within the IAAF

Communications • UKA must be the authoritative voice for athletics in Great Britain and Northern Ireland • We ensure out athletes are supported with a single powerful voice in the media, coordinating all communications for Team GB • Our role is to promote the achievements of Team GB and individual athletes. • We manage a complex portfolio of internal and external communications to keep all our stakeholders informed about our work. • We must work closely with HCAFs to promote athletics in every community of the UK, making the most of the emerging new media environment.
