Our School

Belmont House School This is our school. The main part is very old. It was built in 1833 but only became a school in 1961. This year our school is 50 years old.

Most of our classrooms are all around the school grounds.

Our school has different centres. Some of them are : Hampstead Centre and Woodlands Language Unit for children aged 4 -11. Troy College for the older students aged 11 -17.

We all wear a school uniform. In Hampstead we wear a blue and yellow uniform. In Woodlands we wear the uniforms from the different primary schools we attend on Fridays.

The children from Woodlands and Hampstead are working together on this Comenius Project. Come and meet all of us

Our favourite place in our school is the Play Trail. It is lots of fun.

We also love our school forest

Sometimes we look for leprechauns

We grow flowers vegetables and fruit in the school garden.

We have fun in school

We work hard too

We get breakfast and lunch in school

We travel to school by bus or taxi

Our City

Londonderry Our school is in a city in N. Ireland called Londonderry but sometimes it is also called Derry. Northern Ireland

Londonderry is a very old walled city. The River Foyle runs through it. Here are some pictures of our city.

Northern Ireland Londonderry is in N. Ireland which is on the island of Ireland but part of the United Kingdom (U. K. ). The other countries in the U. K. are Scotland, Wales and England. Scotland Northern Ireland England Wales

Northern Ireland Our country is very green because we get lots of rain.
