Michael Joseph Jackson Michael Jackson was born to Joseph and Katherine in Gary (Indiana). He was the seventh of nine children. Jackson claimed that his father repeatedly humiliated him mentally and physically. However, he respected the strict discipline of his father, who played a big role in the success of Jackson. In one of the clashes with his father, described his older brother Michael Marlon, father, holding it upside down, hit her on the back and buttocks. One night while Michael was asleep, his father made his way to his room through the window. It was a frightening mask, screamed and roared.
