We want to help n n n Plant trees Use new technologies Install filters on smokestacks Use enviromentally friendly materials Sort out rubbish We decided to begin in our school.

Our school n n Our school really cares about the environment We do our best to lower the use of electricity

Electricity use in the school n 1 PC uses about 0. 23 k. W. h per day, all our PCs use 11. 5 k. W. h per day n 1 copying machine uses per day : 0. 25 k. W. h, all the copying machines (6 x): 1. 5 k. W. h n All the data projectors: 10 k. W. h per day

Total consumption per 1 day: 21. 5 k. W. h per 1 school year: 3547. 5 k. W. h and that is 14, 200 Kč (€ 600) for all the electric devices So much money? I won‘t use computers.

Lighting The school replaced the old light bulbs with fluorescent tubes n The school still pays more than 200, 000 Kč (€ 8, 000) per year n

Questions n Can we save money? n Do we want more field trips (abroad), more school events? n Do we want to reconstruct the school building?

And the answer is… YES!
