JOWSCO Environmental Policy • JOWSCO is committed to the principles of Ecologically Sustainable Development JOWSCO Environmental Policy • JOWSCO is committed to the principles of Ecologically Sustainable Development (ESD), in particular the conservation of energy, water, species and natural resources and the control of pollution and waste. • In providing, to time and budget, specific venues, public infrastructure, public and private transport, accommodation, recreational facilities, marketing materials and special events for the WSSD 2002, JOWSCO’s commitment is to: – Protect and enhance remnant natural ecosystems at all venues, sites and facilities and encourage the reuse of temporary and portable facilities by local communities post-Summit – Encourage the use of recycled materials and reduce waste generation, specifically in packaging, marketing and catering materials
