ARCTIC MONKEYS Arctic Monkeys are an English indie rock band formed in 2002 in High Green, a suburb of Sheffield. The band consists of Alex Turner (lead vocals, lead/rhythm guitar), Jamie Cook (rhythm/lead guitar), Nick O'Malley (bass guitar, backing vocals), and Matt Helders (drums, backing vocals). Former member Andy Nicholson (bass guitar, backing vocals) left the band in 2006 shortly after its debut album was released.
Oasis (band) Oasis were an English rock band formed in Manchester in 1991. Developed from an earlier group called the Rain, the band originally consisted of Liam Gallagher (vocals and tambourine), Paul "Bonehead" Arthurs (guitar), Paul "Guigsy" Mc. Guigan (bass guitar) and Tony Mc. Carroll (drums, percussion). They were later joined by Liam's older brother Noel Gallagher (lead guitar and vocals) as a fifth member.
THE KOOKS The Kooks are a British rock band formed in Brighton, East Sussex, in 2004. [1] The band is formed by Luke Pritchard (vocals/guitar), Hugh Harris (lead guitar), Paul Garred (drums), and Peter Denton (bass guitar). The lineup of the band remained constant until the departure of Rafferty in 2008. Dan Logan served as a temporary replacement, until Peter Denton joined the band permanently in October 2008.
Coldplay are a British rock band formed in 1996 by lead vocalist Chris Martin and lead guitarist Jonny Buckland at University College London (UCL). [3] After they formed under the name Pectoralz, Guy Berryman joined the group as a bassist and they changed their name to Starfish. [4] Will Champion joined as a drummer, backing vocalist, and multiinstrumentalist, completing the line-up. Manager Phil Harvey is often considered an unofficial fifth member. [5] The band renamed themselves "Coldplay" in 1998.
