Wind; there are two main air masses that affect climate of Nigeria, they are; 0 Tropical maritime air masses (south west trade wind); this is responsible for rainy seasons. It blows across the Atlantic ocean toward the coast and 0 Tropical continental (North East trade wind); this is responsible for dry season and it blows across the Sahara desert. 2. Rainfall; The annual amount of rainfall decrease inland from 2800 mm in the extreme south to below 600 mm in the extreme north. There are two main seasons; 1. Rainy seasons; this is longest in the south and 2. Dry season: this is longest in the north

The Eastern Highlands; this represent the highest zone in Nigeria. It includes; Adamawa mountain, Mandara mountain, Biu plateau, Obudu and Oban hill The eastern Scarpland: this is found in the eastern region of Nigeria. It include the Udi-Nsukka plateau
