Vision Math. • Grounded in research and results • Designed specifically for implementation of the rigorous Common Core Standards • Comprehensive Math program that develops deep mathematical understanding through interactive and engaging lessons • Promotes understanding at every level: Conceptual understanding (how and why something works), procedural fluency and practice, and real world applications • Includes materials that offer support and challenge for every student • Leading-edge digital tools

Social Studies Cram Series Students will use literature to study rules and laws, economics, Social Studies Cram Series Students will use literature to study rules and laws, economics, history including life in the 1800’s and geography. Science Smithsonian Kits Your child will be studying insects and their life cycles, balancing and weighing, and soils this year.

Students will be ability grouped for reading based on STAR Assessments and Dibels Testing. Children will also receive 30 minutes of additional math instruction based on needs. They may be switching classrooms as well for this service.

Individualized Instruction Accelerated Reader Students will be expected to read two books weekly on Individualized Instruction Accelerated Reader Students will be expected to read two books weekly on their individual reading level. Their goal will be to have an average of 90% to 100%. The individual reading level is based on the results of the STAR Test given at the beginning of the year. Please note that I will have students reading both fiction and non-fiction books and they need to be proficient at both in order to move up a level.
