STONEHENGE
This is one of the most famous archaeological sites in the world. It consists of a horseshoe-shaped and circular structures, built of large roughly hewn stones. Historians and esoterics keep talking about it sharing their suppositions and feeling Stonehenge - giant stone mystery in the heart of Europe.
TOWER
Presently this fortress in London is a museum, a historic center, a Library and one of the most popular places among tourists around the world. Earlier it was well-known for the prison history. In the book devoted to the 900 anniversary of the Tower the Duke of Edinburgh wrote that «through out it is Tower of London has been both a fortress, and a palace. As well as the place were the Royal jewelry is kept, an arsenal, a mint, a zoo and a tourists attraction. »
WILLIAM SHAKESPEARE'S HOUSE IS ALSO A HISTORICAL SIGHT. IT IS A MUSEUM NOW.
STRATFORD Residents of the city where the house is situated are very proud of the Globe theater where Shakespeare’s plays are performed.
In this house William Shakespeare was born and spent his childhood. The house belonged to his father John who became a successful businessman of Stratford. In city records the information remained, that his family lived on Hanley Street in 1552 and William Shakespeare was born in 1564. According to these data the conclusion was also drawn on the birthplace of the writer.
TRAFALGAR SQUARE
In the center of this square there is the Nelson's column topped with a statue of admiral Nelson. The bottom of a column is decorated with the murals of the melted Napoleonic guns.
