Grand Canyon National Park It is the most famous nat. park of the USA, because of its large size and stunning scenery. There a lot of people wanting to see this place so much, that the administration must impose restrictions for tourists. There is a special route South Rim Drive for campers, which, sometimes, is closed for private transport.
It is the very first park in USA and in the world, which was established in 1872, and in 1976 this park was among the World Heritage Sites by UNESCO. There about two-thirds geysers of planet and Yellowstone Caldera known as dormant supervolcano, whose frozen lava covers most of the park.
In the park are found almost 60 species of mammals, including the rare lynx, wolves and grizzly bears. From big animal there are baribal black bear, deer elk , moose, mule deer , mountain goat and puma and bison population is one of the largest in the country: there about four thousand.
Acadia National Park on the Atlantic shore – it is granite peaks , pine forests and numerous lakes. Local showplace is Mount Cadillac of pink granite , the first in the United States who meets the dawn. There around 340 species of birds , coyotes , foxes , raccoons, otters, deer and hares.
