NAPAssess Objectives • Provide guidance and a step-by-step reference point for the major activities in the NAPA process as defined by LEG Øsynergy assessment Østakeholder engagement Øproject prioritization Øproject portfolio development • Record, store and access output from each of these activities (particularly useful as a platform for sharing project information with stakeholders and storing information from the stakeholderdriven activities ) • To conduct multi-criteria assessment in a straightforward way

Sudan Experience using NAPAssess The Sudan NAPA project was launched in July, 2004 and is making use of the NAPAssess model to assist in making the process of identifying adaptation practical actions as transparent and stakeholder-engaging as possible • Three-day workshop focusing on NAPAssess training, software distributed to the technical committees and task forces • NAPAssess currently being used to house all relevant Sudan NAPA information (in one single platform) as an organizational tool • More training at the zonal level is necessary and will be planned in the future stages of the Sudan NAPA process
