In order to enter Medical University young people have to take an entrance examinations on Kazakh, Russian, Maths, History of Kazakhstan and Biology.
History of Kaz. NMU The first Kazakh State Medical Institute in Kazakhstan (Kaz. GMI) was opened in 1930. A graduate of the Leningrad Military Medical Academy, S. D. Asfendiyarov, was appointed as a rector. 1931 – establishment of therapeutic faculty 1938 – establishment of the pediatric faculty 1943 – establishment of hygiene faculty 1951 – establishment of the pharmaceutical faculty 1959 – establishment of the stomatological faculty
About my university In 2001 Kazakh State Medical University named after S. D. Asfendiyarov was awarded the high national status of the university.
About our rector The first Institute’s rector was Sandzhar Dzhanovich Asfendiyarov who was a graduate of St. Peterburg Medical Military Academy.
About our university Now our university is called as Kazakh National Medical University named after S. D. Asfendiyarov. Nowadays rector is professor Akanov A. A.
There are 8 faculties such as general medicine faculty, pharmaceutical faculty, stomatological, faculty etc
Our students take in active part in different types of activities such as scientific conferences, sport competitions and other contests
