My summer vacation Yankovich Ivana Second Year Student Nature Science Faculty Biology and Geography department Teacher Training Direction

My summer vacation was preceded by the passing of exams and a four-week field practice this year. I had exams in three disciplines: zoology, general geography and cartography. I can’t say that it was easy to pass them, but I did my best to achieve good results: tow “excellent” and one “good”.

The next day after the last exam, our summer field practice began. It lasted four weeks; each of them was devoted to one subject: zoology, botany, cartography and geology.

The second week, which was dedicated to botany, we spent in the camp "Polyanka". And, even though the weather was cold and rainy, we were able to study different types of plants, describe over 150 species of plants around the camp and make herbarium.

At the end of July I went to the Vladimir region for a week to the Russia Educational Youth Forum “Terra Sientia” on Klyazma River. Each week of the forum has its own theme Our week of the forum was devoted to politics.

We listened to speeches and lectures by well-known politicians (and not only politics) on a variety of topics. The leaders of the largest parties in Russia, chairman of the State Duma, the designer D. Simachev, the 4 -time Olympic champion A. Nemov, the boxer and political figure N. Valuev are just some of our lecturers.

Also there were a lot of master classes and trainings devoted to self-development, leadership, time-management, achievements of goals. This week gave me an acquaintance with people from all over Russia, new knowledge and positive charge for a long time. Although the summer turned out to be rich and interesting, I was eager to return to university.
