HISTORY Sources of rock music lie in the blues which left the first rock genres — a rock'n'roll and a rockabilly. The first subgenres of rock music arose in close connection with folk and variety music of that time — first of all it is a folk, a country, скиффл, music hall. During the existence there were attempts to connect rock music practically to all possible types of music — with the academic music (art fate, there is in the late sixties, and later simfo-metal), the jazz (the jazz-rock, appears in the late sixties — the beginning of the 70 th), Latin music (the latino-fate, appears in the late sixties), the Indian music (the raga-fate, appears in the mid-sixties). In the 60 -70 th years there were practically all largest subgenres of rock music the most important of which, besides listed, are the hard rock, a punk rock, rock vanguard. At the end the 70 -hbeginning of the 80 th there were such genres of rock music, as the post-punk, the new wave, alternative fate (though already in the late sixties there are early representatives of this direction), a hardcore (a large subgenre of a punk rock), and later and brutal subgenres of metal — the death metal, blek-threw. In the nineties genres grunge (I appeared in the mid-eighties), Britpop (appears in the mid-sixties), alternative metal (appears in the late eighties) gained broad development.
