mr. lordi tomi petteri putaansuu (born 15 february 1974), better known by his stage name mr. lordi, is the lead vocalist in the finnish heavy metal/hard rock band lordi. mr. lordi is the singer, songwriter and costume designer for hard rock band lordi. he studied film making in tornio and, while there, created lordi's first music video. his band lordi went on to win the eurovision song contest in 2006, scoring the most points for a single entry ever until the record was beaten on eurovision song contest 2009.
jussi sydänmaa (born june 26, 1972 in mäntsälä, finland) is the guitarist, and one of the founding members of the finnish metal quintet lordi. he is also known under his stage name of "amen". his character is an ancient mummy avenger, the god of gods. "amen was the great egyptian god amen-ra. god of gods. after death amen was mummified and couple thousands years later he was woken up to play in lordi. amen's public secret is women. he's an ancient lover. " he graduated as an information technology engineer in 2001 and has been making the website of lordi the municipality of mäntsälä granted amen with hard rock memorial on june 26, 2006. amen plays gibson les paul standard guitars. amen also recorded guitar riffs which were used by ari pulkkinen to create the soundtrack for pc game shadowgrounds.

X samer el nahhal (born july 11, 1975 in espoo, finland) is the current bassist of the finnish hard rock band lordi. he goes by the stage name of ox (both letters capitalized, ) a possible reference to john entwistle, the bassist for the who, who was also nicknamed "the ox. " ox plays an ibanez btb bass. his father is egyptian and his mother is finnish. he made his lordi debut as ox the hellbull in 2005, replacing the former bassist, kalma. his father died when samer was 13, so they moved back in finland. then he wanted to become a musician and wanted to take up the bass
AWA leena maria "awa" peisa (b. march 16, 1979 in vantaa, finland) is the current keyboard player in the finnish hard rock quintet lordi, winners of the 2006 eurovision song contest. peisa's former bands include punaiset messiaat and dolchamar, both of which are from porvoo.

Tus tonmi kristian lillman (3 june 1973 – 14 february 2012 ) was a finnish musician, best known as otus the drummer of the band lordi. lillman's father was a musician, and as a result he grew up surrounded by a large assortment of instruments. tonmi received his first drum kit at age nine and started performing live at age 14. apart from drums and bass guitar, his primary instruments, tonmi also played the keyboards and guitar. prior to his death, he was involved in the bands kylähullut, vanguard and 3 rror. from his previous bands, he became best known as the drummer of sinergy, to/die/for and lordi. tonmi died on 14 february 2012, though the cause of death is still unknown.
funny story in 2005, mr. lordi received a call from the selection committee for the eurovision and asked to choose a song from the new album, which could represent finland at the competition the band chose the song hard rock hallelujah and changed the arrangement to cut a song with four minutes to three, as required by the format of the competition. lordi has successfully won the viewers' vote and were chosen to represent finland at theeurovision song contest for the first time in the history of finland, a country with rich traditions of rock music, represented by a rock band. however, the selection of lordi caused a scandal. somengos have called the group "satanic" for its image and text. in addition, lordi had financial problems with the delivery of expensive equipment and pyrotechnics to greece, which hosted the competition. through the help of sponsors, this problem has been solved.
