Youth for Europe • Aims to: – Combat negative prejudices and stereotypes – More positive awareness of other cultures • Is set up by the European Commission • Is executed through National Agencies – All E. U. member states, candidate countries and EFTA – Projects possible with other European countries
Structure of the Grant • Sending group – Travel expenses (70%) – Advance planning visit (all travel expenses & 64 € / participant / day) – Preparation expenses (640 €) • Hosting group – – Preparation expenses (640 €) Fixed amount for general activities (1280 €) Flat rate per participant per day (24 €) Exceptional costs (in conclave with national agency)
An example • • • Exchange EGEA Utrecht – EGEA Warsaw, in Utrecht, for 10 nights & days 11 Utrecht students & 9 Warsaw students 2 people from EGEA Warsaw get 100% of their travel expenses and 64 € a day for a preparation visit to EGEA Utrecht EGEA Warsaw gets 640 € from their national agency to prepare the exchange EGEA Warsaw gets 70% of their travel costs from their national agency EGEA Utrecht gets 640 € from their national agency to prepare the exchange EGEA Utrecht gets 1280 € (fixed sum) for activities EGEA Utrecht gets 24 euro per participant per program day for food, accommodation, and so on. (9+11=20, 20*24*10=4800 €) EGEA Warsaw – 896 €, EGEA Utrecht 6720 €
How to apply • At your national agency; in your booklet • Important: Intercultural and educational • 75% beforehand, 25% after report • Apply 3 months before your activity • You need to set up a foundation to apply for the grant • Success!
