Guideline Preparation Process Initial deliberations with district collectors. Five video conferences with Collectors, DSWOs, ADMs/ PD DRDAs, all CDPOs, some supervisors, DSWOs, Nutrition Operation Plan consultants. A core group comprising of Deptt personnel, TMST, SPMU, Care, Unicef etc.
Guideline preparation…. . Field visits to districts were made and discussions held with ward members, PTAs, Head masters, SHGs and other stakeholders. Draft sent by email to all collectors for their views. Meeting under chairmanship of Hon’ble CM
Major changes Rice as usual from FCI through District S&T Agents All other foodstuff procurement decentralized to village level No central ceiling price for any commodity No particular dal specified. Can buy locally produced and processed dals, except prohibited dals-preference to SHGs.
Major changes…. . Emphasis on meeting protein and calorie norms within the ration cost. Not daily , but weekly average. Major role for PRIs and local committees Variety introduced- daily recipe of MDM standardized all over state (2 eggs/week) Involvement of WSHGs strengthened
