Best Practices Ø 79, 000 women SHG's provide mid-day meal in more than one lakh schools Ø Milk provided thrice a week from State’s resources. Ø E-transfer of Cooking cost in the account of SHGs. Ø Use of Ag-mark/Branded ingredients in MDMS Ø Community contributed full meals/sweets/fruits etc. worth Rs. 4, 43, 815/Ø Procurement of kitchen devices decentralized at SMC level. Ø Mothers, Antyoday Card Holders, Senior Citizens taste the meal daily before it is served.
Contd. . Ø Meal samples kept for 24 hours in each school. Ø Action Protocol issued for addressing serious complaints immediately. Ø Task Manager and Quality Monitors each inspect atleast 50 schools in a month. Ø Dining Hall have been constructed in several districts by dovetailing funds of various schemes like BRGF, MANREGA, etc. Ø Social Audit by Gram Sabha on quaterly basis. Ø Medical Contingency Plan in every school. Ø Funds provided to every district for one thousand LPG connections
Issues Ø Two months delay in the release of central assistance to schools Ø Less coverage (73%) against enrolment both in Primary and Upper Primary. Ø Negative food grains balance on 31. 12. 16 {(Datia (-103%), Gwalior (-80%), Shivpuri (-9%), Indore (-9%), Umaria (8%), Sangroli (-5%), Panna (-4%) Neemach (-3%), Ratlam (-2%), Sidhi (-1%) Ø Food grain availability as on 31. 12. 2016 is in excess of allocation in Narsinghpur (142%), Shajapur (138%), Jhabua (135%), Sagar (128%), Bhind (119%), Sheopur (116%), Rewa (114%), Khandwa (103%) and Sehore (102%). .
Issues Ø Jhabua utilised 135% food grain against coverage of 80% in primary and 78% in upper primary Ø Cooking cost available in excess of allocation in 30 districts viz. Jabhua (222%), Damoh (186%), Ujjain (167%), Guna (153%), Morena &Satna (149%), Shadol & Bhopal (148%). Ø Less utilization of Transport Assistance (46%) Ø 94% payment to Nagrik Apoorti Nigam (NAN) for food grains. Ø No meeting of District Level Meeting under the Chairmanship of MP(LS) held in 11 districts.
Ø Delay in construction of 7094 kitchen-cum-stores. Ø Social Audit in Ashok Nagar, Rewa and Sheopur still not completed. Ø LPG in 31276 (27%) schools. Firewood in remaining 73% schools. Ø 1 sample was found below norms Ø Only six districts out of 51 districts are submitting daily data on central server under Automated Monitoring System. Ø 88% Monthly data entries in the MDM-MIS portal till December, 2016. Ø Mis-match in the MIS and AWP&B data. Ø Multi-tap facility in 17283 schools (15%)
